The Commissions Award is intended to foster creative partnerships between commissioning individuals or organisations and artists. The award is designed to encourage collaboration among the parties involved in commissioned projects. The commission must lead to a public exhibition or other public exposure of the commissioned work in Ireland or abroad. Either the commissioning party or the commissioned party must be legally resident in Ireland.

The maximum award available for the Commissions Award is EUR 10,000.
